Spotlight on Volunteers.

Friendship House relies on the dedication and generosity of our volunteers. There are over two dozen active volunteers who give their time every week to keep Friendship House open. They help their neighbors, serve their community and provide expertise. No matter what kind of volunteer work they do, our volunteers contribute in invaluable ways. On average, Friendship House volunteers log 250 volunteer hours every week. That amounts to more than 1,000 hours per month!

So, in recognition of the many hours of dedicated service our volunteers give to Friendship House, we’d like to shine a “Spotlight on Volunteers”. Each month, we will introduce you to one of our team and tell you a little bit about them. Putting them in the spotlight is our way of saying thank you and making sure everyone knows of their contributions. Friendship House says thank you!

Meet Benjamin Chase Green

Ben volunteers for Friendship House each week in the Food Pantry. He helps with our food pick ups and then works hard sorting and stocking food on the shelves of the pantry. Ben is a graduate of Finger Lakes Community College and began volunteering at Friendship House last year. His time with us is “the highlight of my week!” he says. If you happen to see Ben, congratulations are in order on his recent engagement. Thank you Ben, for your service to Friendship House.
